I’m begging!!! Please fix all the lightstrips so they work in free mode…
The only reason I bought Arches was for recording finger movements in free mode, and as it stands, it is just not reliable. please help….. please?
I’m still having all kinds of problems with the lightstrips in free mode. Recorded movements often can’t be stopped or reset and some lightstrips just stop working after a while. Sometimes after a while, they don’t allow you to record anymore. In fact, I’ve never had a session where some of these problems doesn’t happen.
I really hope this is eventually fixed someday…..
i’ve been playing with the latest firmware a bit tonight. i’m really enjoying the new slider record functions.
one thing i’ve had happen twice so far is the recording i made on the third slider from left playing back the recorded finger movements indefinitely with no way of shutting it off. i can stop the others as usual, but the third light strip kept playing the loop no matter what i did.
i’ll keep playing around and see if i can figure out what causes this to happen on occasion.
i’ve got it installed. i’m really enjoying the record function : )
nice! i’m going to attempt to install this firmware tonight… looking forward to giving it a try.
Yes, very good news.
I’m wondering if there’s a timeline for when the recording of finger movements will be implemented. That’s pretty much the whole reason I purchased the arches. I wrote an email to Soundmachines during the kickstarter and was told at that time that the strips could record 10 seconds of finger movement and that they were planning to get the recording times up to 30 seconds per strip.
Anyway, I really hope that recording will be part of a new firmware soon.
Any info/update regarding this would be greatly appreciated. I’m willing and happy to be patient as long as I receive some feedback/info regarding these updates. It’s a lot harder to be patient when we don’t hear any news and just kind of feel like we’re in the dark.
Thanks! and good luck with ongoing development.
